DECATHLON BALANCE BIKE

Decathlon Balance bike has been created 10 years ago. The main goal was to rethink the bike for the kid. Makes it appropriate and ergonomic with a design identity.
CREATIVITY STEPS

Searching for low frames architectures to eased low step of the bike and processes. After considering it, I worked on three different bikes. Thanks to some observations, we knew that footrest was important for the kid, so we decided to implement it on all the concept without disturbing the utilisation of the bike.
DEVELOPMENT

Every components has been designed. The saddle has been think to help the child to run with the bike. On the Runride you will find the StopEasy, an ergonomic brake. I also worked on the shape of the tires and wheels. Every pencil line follow our Design guidebook. I could work on 3 ranges 100, 500 steel frame and an aluminium frame for the 900 range's.
